Insert textfield into UIAlert???

Hello everyone,

I was using the recipe from the iPhone dev cookbook to add textfields into the UIAlert.

But the last time I have submitted, the app was rejected for the following reason:

"3.3.1 Applications may only use Documented APIs in the manner prescribed by Apple and must not use or call any private APIs."

The following non-public APIs are included in your application:
addTextFieldWithValue:label:
textFieldAtIndex:

Is there a legal way to insert textfields into the UIAlert and access them later?
