How can I install games for free on 2G iphone 2.2.1?

I want to install paid games like super monkey ball on my 2G iPhone.

How do I do that? Also, where can I find the cracked games for iPhone??

I was WAITING for someone to ask this question.... Cracked Apps have been out there since quite sometime now but its like nobody knew!!! (or maybe everyone was using it all this while and keeping it a secret :p) A very good question d00by.
 
1. Install Appstore Patch via Cydia. Make sure you install the one specific to your firmware version. (Repository for Appstore Patch is: http://apt.hackers.nl/).
 
NOTE: This patch is also called "MobileInstallation Patch" / Patch MobileInstallation / miPatch. 2.2.1 firmware users would have to add Hackulo.us repository (http://cydia.hackulo.us) and install miPatch Firmware 2.2.1
 
2. Download cracked applications from http://appulo.us/
 
3. Drag the cracked IPAs downloaded above into the Applications section of iTunes. Sync to install to iPhone.
 
NOTE: Cracked Apps *DO NOT* show in the Updates section of Apple's App Store when the author releases an update or a new version - like the Free / Paid apps from Apple. You'd have to re-download and re-install the app manually if you want to use the newer version - when its available on Appulo.us.
 
4. You can also install AppShare and Installous to download and Install cracked IPAs from iPhone itself. It would make sense to use WiFi for this coz most of the good apps have decent download size. Both these apps are avilable thru Appulo.us Repository on Cydia.

Hi guys,

I am not sure if this would be a valid question. But, can someone tell me if there's any way I can get the App Store applications and games on to my iPhone, given that I am on 1.1.4?

One more question. I have used WinSCP to SSH into my phone, but, I have never seen the "Mobileinstallation.framework" folder on the directory tree. Any suggestions on how to get that would be more than appreciated.

Answer 1 - NO. You cannot install apps on 1.x.x iPhone.

You need to be at least on 2.0 or higher.

 

Answer 2: You cannot get MobileInstallation.framework folder in version lower than 2.0. Even if you copied this folder from another iPhone (even with correct permissions); it wouldn't make a difference. It wont make you 1.x.x phone apps ready....

Thanks a ton Nikhil. I almost knew the answers even while I was typing the questions! :)

Anyways, I'm all ready with watever's needed for the upgrade. But, believe me, its just the App Store constraint that MIGHT just push me into 2.x.x. Otherwise, I'm just too happy with 1.1.4. I've already done hell of a lot of stuff on the phone, n I really dont wanna get rid of ny of them!

Well, a 1.1.4 vs 2.x.x might just motivate me a little more!

I would say 1.1.4 vs 2.2 would leave 2.2 a downright winner.. all the cosmetic changes and everything take maybe 2 hours to get back.. the contacts, call history.. sms, everything is still there... If you are not using appstore, i would say ur missing a whole lot..

games, ims, twitter.. all are good dude.. upgrade and see for urself.. entire process will take maybe 1 hour if you have a wifi connection..

I dont exactly know.. I havent tried it.. but i dont think you can do it.. because some of the changes to the baseband and bootloader are permanent.

Honestly, i dint need to go back.. good luck.. this thing will take maybe an hour.. Trust me, there is only a very very minute possibility that you would brick your iphone..
