How to upgrade the firmware of jailbroken/unlocked iPhone 2G from 1.1.2 ? 

What is the latest firmware ?

Were you in a comma for the past decade. You have missed a lot in the
meantime.

To answer your question. Yes you can move to 3.1.2 with the custom
firmware version.

I dont have access to WiFi rounter for last one and half year :(.. Now I'll get Mac book from my friend to upgrade the firmware. 
I have forgotten few things.:( Do we loose songs/contacts/software by upgrading the firmware?

It is like ages since I have done all this ...

Just sync with iTunes before you upgrade and sync again after upgrading.. youll be fine
