I didn't find a 2G specific tutorial on iClarified. Did you do it on a Mac? I didn't find it for Windows. Please advise.

Thanks for the quick responses Amar.
I guessed so..... They still don't have a QuickPwn solution for Windows yet.

However, the Dev Team is planning to come up with a Pwnage tool for Windows for the first time. The wait is on......

Thanks again Amar. Much appreciated.

Once u have the "unlocked" image from quickpwn i dont think the os matters. I did it on windows after getting the image.

u can try getting the image from somebody ( the unlocked ipsw) and u can custom restore it to 3.1
i can try sharing it , but it will take some time as it will need some time to upload

Absolutely correct! Its just the Pwnage tool that does this and is available only for Mac.

Thanks for the offer Amar, but wouldn't trouble you on this one. Too much of a hassle over a meager upgrade. Out friends back at Cupertino have already come up with a newer version. I wonder when this race of upgrades would end. Once a year upgrade is what is understandable. Maybe they should look into all features in one go, take their own sweet time and release a major upgrade. From then on, an annual upgrade should do the trick.

Thoughts??
