Restore issue - iphone disturbed

Friends,
When I was in the middle of restoring my iphone 2G, the iphone was disconnected from iTunes. Now it is showing USB connecting to itunes (like in restore mode) and it is not detected by iTunes.
Any suggestion please

Try to put the phone directly in DFU mode (by using the home + power
button combination (search the web)).
Itunes will ask to restore the firmware.
You can start over the process.
