Smart Mode not working

Hi Jason

It seems, since i updated to the latest version of this app, the Smart
Mode doesn't work. My cards just run in random order from start to
finish. I have repeat turned off (as the instructions state that this
makes no difference when running smart mode), but at the end of the
deck, i just get the "Cards Finished" message. No card is thrown back
into the deck.

Any ideas?

You are correct, SmartMode appears to not automatically repeating
cards in the current version (which slightly defeats the purpose of
it). However, you can turn on repeat and then it will function as
expected. So for now just turn repeat on with SmartMode and it should
work. I'll fix this in the next release.

Thanks. Glad it is not just my iPhone that is playing up!!!

I have already turned on repeat, and have been working through my
cards as you suggested. Obviously this does not show cards in lower
box numbers more frequently than higher boxes, but I can live with
that for now. I look forward to seeing the next release. (Any idea
when that would be?)

Hi Rik,

If you have both SmartStudy Mode and Repeat on, it should show lower
numbered boxes less frequently than higher numbered boxes. It doesn't
run through a single box at a time or anything like that, but it
weights the probability of each card showing up based on the box it's
in. That means a single card in box 1 is more likely to show up than
say a single card in box 4. However, this is based per card, so if
you have 50 cards in box 4 and 3 cards in box 1, you're still more
likely to see one of the 50 in box 4 than one of the ones in box 1.
