FlashCards should show up in the app section of iTunes. Did you
purchase the application on the iPhone or on iTunes? In either case
it should show up, I'm just curious. I don't really have any control
over the app showing up in the iTunes list or not, though a pure guess
would lead me to think that the app was purchased on the iPhone and
was not transfered back to iTunes. You may want to try right clicking
on the iPhone in iTunes and selecting "Transfer Purchases" to make
sure. Otherwise you can find the app in the iTunes store on the
computer and select "buy". It won't charge you again, but will
redownload the app into iTunes. I wouldn't advise doing this until
the back up feature has been implemented though, since I haven't seen
this happen and wouldn't want iTunes to overwrite the version on your
iPhone.
In general the application data on your iPhone/iPods is backed up. If
you go to Preferences in iTunes, and then Devices you can see a list
of all your devices (iPhones/iPods) and there last back up time. From
within iTunes you should be able to restore to these back up points.
As far as the losing cards issue, I've tracked down one scenario where
it could happen, but I'm still not convinced that's the full problem
that happened here, so anyone who has any information please e-mail me
(
sup...@red5dev.com) or post it on here.
At any rate, an update will be coming soon to fix the problems I've
been able to track down and make importing a little more smooth. This
should prevent card loss entirely, unless something really strange is
going on in these situations. It may also contain the full backup
option, but if not that then in a more major update coming in late
August.
A much more complete website, with full card creation (images/sounds/
text directly online instead of just through csv files), as well as
supporting full back ups will be coming in late August and a large
update to the iPhone app will come at that same time.
Thanks!
