Import topics?

I am learning a language, and find it really useful to categorise my
cards into topics. However it seems I must import cards from Excel,
then assign them to topics. Is there no way to include the topic in
the spreadsheet and have them included with the import?

Hi Rik,

Importing currently only supports adding Front/Back text so there is no way to create topics.  There will be a way to create and set up topics online in the future.

I like the idea of maintaining my cardsets on a local spreadsheet,
then uploading to test on my iPhone.

How does it work if I add some rows to the spreadsheet later, or if I
modify a row, then do a new import to an existing cardset? Will
duplications occur?

Secondly, are there any existing websites you'd suggest I investigate,
where others have contributed cardsets that will import easily?

Currently importing will duplicate all the cards if you import the
same sheet more than once. I'm working on features to allow syncing
between edits you make on the computer, and edits you make on the
iPhone/iPod without duplicating cards, and these features will likely
be included in the 2.0 release.
