I have an iPod touch running software version 2.2 5G77
I recently downloaded the update to Siddur 3.7 and when synching my
iPod I receive the following error message:
"The Application "Siddur" was not installed in the ipod "iPod Touch"
because it requires a newer version of iPhone OS. "

BTW iTunes informs me that my software is up to date, and I am not
that interested in updating the software in any event.
Shouldn't the software be backwards compatible?

It technically should be, we are not sure why people are getting that
error.

I would honestly spend the $10 to upgrade to 3.0. It allows us to do
certain things with the Siddur that might be worth while.

Again, these things are not required, so I am not sure why it
"requires" 3.0.

So, is there a fix in the work?

This is the newer version of the OS. So currently, the only way to
install it is to have 3.0 OS. This will work.
