First off, I would like to welcome everyone to this new group!

It seems there is a high demand for iPhone hacking news, as almost 500
users have joined this group during the past 24 hours. I'm happy to
see so many people are not accepting Apple's decision to limit the
iPhone to a handful of providers worldwide.

The iPhone Status Tracker I have set up a few months ago has been
visited by almost 300,000 [unique] users since it's creation. This is
incredible and signals the need for a "filtered" source of information
about the whole unlocking, jailbreaking and modding subject.

In the coming days I will move all the information from the iPhone
Status Ticker to this group, also splitting it up into smaller pages
to make it easier to navigate.

After the Macworld '08 keynote, Apple released the 1.1.3 iPhone
firmware and the dev team(s) are working on it right now. Do NOT
upgrade to 1.1.3 if you have a working iPhone right now. As soon as a
safe jailbreak and unlock is available I will let you know.
Again, NO you can't jailbreak 1.1.3 yet, and NO you can't unlock 1.1.3
yet (probably with some SIM adaptors).
