This position is located in the Division of Global HIV/AIDS (DGHA) and shared with the Division of Global Health Protection (DGHP) in the Center for Global Health. DGHA and DGHP provide technical assistance to over 75 countries through country and regional offices with headquarters support, working through partnerships with Ministries of Health and local and international partners to implement integrated HIV/AIDS and TB clinical and preventive services and systems; coordinate the implementation of the Global Health Security (GHS) activities; develop and strengthen laboratory services; and provide epidemiologic science, informatics, and research support to develop sustainable public health systems in resource-constrained countries.

Duties and Responsibilities:
•         Serves as the Program Deputy Director and the principal management administrative person for all CDC, DGHA, and DGHP activities for the country of assignment.
•         Acts with full authority in the absence of the Country Director on all matters involving non-scientific program operations and field activities.
•         Formulates the program budget and presents and defends resource requirements needed to carry out the offices long-term goals and objectives.
•         Exercises delegated authority to oversee the overall planning, directing, and timely execution of several program segments, managed through separate subordinate organizational units.
•         Provides supervisors and staff with direction and advice regarding policies, procedures and guidelines. 
•         Serves as the technical Contracting Officers Representative.
•         Provides program and operational support to the Presidents Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), Ebola, GHS, and other CDC activities.
