Malaria Consortium is one of the world's leading non-profit organisations dedicated to the comprehensive control of malaria and other communicable diseases in Africa and Southeast
Asia. In 2012, our South Sudan programme had an annual income of more than 2M GBP and employed approximately 100 staff. We are currently seeking to recruit an energetic and dynamic Country Director with a health background and demonstrated management experience
for our South Sudan programme. With offices in Juba and Aweil, we have an interesting range of health-focused projects including community health, nutrition for children under five, mosquito net distribution and health system strengthening initiatives. It
is expected that the South Sudan programme will expand into neglected tropical diseases in the near future. The Country Director will be responsible for providing strategic, programmatic, fundraising, financial and management support to ensure the continued
success of the Malaria Consortium South Sudan programme. Applicants should have a strong understanding of the health sector, but need not be experts in the field of malaria. This role not only provides an opportunity to contribute significantly to the evolving
health sector in the world’s newest countries.
