Is it possible to have a secured and unsecured route in the same application? Once I added an interceptor into the URL I was unable to send an unsecured message to it.

Please take a look at  https://oehf.github.io/ipf-docs/docs/ihe/wsSecureTransport: server-side TLS support is to be configured in the deployment container.

But I think your issue rather related to the interceptor...
