Dear colleagues,

Apologies for cross-posting.

The fourth season of the seminar series Accumulation Regulation Crises continues, please join us for the third and last session of the season! Accumulation Regulation Crises 4: Ecology (ARC4.E) aims to revisit key concepts and theoretical frameworks of political economy in the tradition of the Regulation School and parent political economy approaches through the lens of the ecological crisis and de/post-growth perspectives.

This year, the series takes on a renewed format: international, in English, online, and fully integrating the ecological crisis into the analysis of the political economy of contemporary capitalism.

The next session (and last of the season) is

Monday, April 27th, 2026, 14.00-16.00 CET (08-10 am US ET): we will host Étienne Espagne (French Development Agency) for two articles in progress, Financial Subordination in the RIFT: Ecological breakdown, geopolitical fragmentation and the reorganization of global accumulation and A Look at the Concept of Historical Viability Regime (working title)

Seminar format: this is a discussion-based seminar. Participants are expected to have read the articles. Each session begins with a five-minute presentation by the authors, highlighting the key takeaways of their work. This is followed by a roundtable where participants briefly share their perspectives, leading into an open discussion. If you plan on attending the seminar, please email Louison Cahen-Fourot at lcah...@ruc.dk to get the articles.

If you would like to present your work at ARC4.E, please contact Louison Cahen-Fourot at lcah...@ruc.dk.

We hope to see you there!

Organizing team:

Pierre Alary (U. Lille), Jérémie Bastien (U. Reims), Nicolas Pinsard (U. Lille), Sandrine Michel (U. Montpellier), and Louison Cahen-Fourot (U. Roskilde)
