Greetings All~
I hope this finds you with your Xmas shopping completed, your tree trimmed and your eggs nogged (I'm personally 0 for 3, if that makes you feel any better...).
Writing to share some good news and ask your help.
As you know, IPC is slowing making our way into the technology of the 21st century, and one thing we are trying to do is make good internet use of the quality content we are already creating.
So I have take the leap into the world of podcasting and have set up a new podcast set up on iTunes where I am uploading all the lectures from our most recent course on the gospel, and over time, will include all the First Steps, Next Steps course lectures (perhaps the occasional sermon, too...).
The podcast is just one more way for IPC to get our more nuanced, thoughtful, hopefully helpful perspective on the Christian life out there into broader circulation and to let the world know where they can come find more (also means you can now more easily download stuff to your computer if you miss a week or want to hear a lesson again!).
But, as you might imagine, there are already hundreds of "Christian" podcasts in the iTunes library, and right now we are ranked in the sub-basement (meaning that someone who goes looking for a podcast on the Bible is going to have to scroll thru pages and pages and pages of other podcasts to even see that we exist - which is unlikely).
However, one way to get out of obscurity to to make it to the "New and Noteworthy" section of iTunes (based on number of subscribers, number of 5-star ratings and number of reviews).
We only have a limited time to be considered "new" - which means we have to get the "noteworthy" thing accomplished fairly quickly....
This is where I could use your help.
If you liked the "Next Steps into the Gospels" course, I'd really value your leaving a 5-star review on iTunes and some comments if you're up for it.
If you wish to subscribe (and you can unsubscribe at any time), simply click here: itpc://
www.jesusat2am.com/feed/podcast or go to iTunes and search for "Jesus at 2AM" (that's the name of the podcast).
Once you're there, you'll see at "Customer Ratings" with a "Click to Rate" and 5 empty stars.
And below that, is "Customer Reviews" and a "Write a Review" link.
Merely subscribing is a huge help. If you're up for clicking that 5th star, that's a very huge help. And a written review (can be very short) is icing on the cake (and boosts us the most).
What's up there now is simply lessons you've already heard, so don't feel you need to re-listen to everything to know what you are reviewing. It's exactly what you heard in class or can find on the IPC audio archives.
Many, many thanks and look forward to seeing you January 8th for Next Steps into Church History - Reformation to the 21st Century.
Merry Xmas,
Kirk
