Dear IPC-2008 group,

after going through the registration forms, it has become apparent
that a sizable fraction of the participating planners in the temporal
tracks do not currently support numeric fluents. We remind you that
numeric fluents will be a required feature in the temporal track.
About half of the temporal domains will require numeric fluents, which
means that planners not supporting them will in all likelihood get a
comparatively low overall score. There is still quite a bit of time
until the planner submission deadline, so if you have an otherwise
working planner, maybe you want to make it a priority to add support
for numeric fluents in the next two months.

Since not all teams commented on the "language support" question in
the registration form, I'd also like all teams that enter one of the
temporal tracks to answer the following question (reply to me
personally, not to the group):

Does your temporal planner support numeric state variables?
[ ] Yes
[ ] No
[ ] Not yet, but we hope to add support before the planner submission
deadline.

Please only answer if you enter one of the temporal tracks, and please
answer even if you already commented on PDDL support on the
registration forms or in past email conversations. Thanks!

Best regards,

Malte

Only three out of the eleven teams that entered one of the temporal
tracks have answered.

Unless we hear from you soon, we'll assume that the remaining eight
teams do support numeric state variables.

This doesn't look like it was intended as an answer to the mailing
list, but for all those who are aching to learn German now, the
question was whether I got the reply from Gabi's team (which I did).

Does your temporal planner support numeric state variables?
