Dear colleague of the O-Net,
On May 6, on the occasion of the release of the IPBES Global Assessment report - which will once again raise the alarm on the state of global biodiversity - WWF initiates an open letter to be published in the media, simultaneously in as many countries as possible. This will be a real call to political leaders to take their responsibility in regards of the alarming disappearance of life on Earth. Of course, this "Call for Nature" underlines that everyone has a role to play in saving biodiversity, but that political leaders, then gathered in Metz for the Environment Ministers G7, must drive the movement.
The “Call for Nature” should be circulated to networks of scientists and civil society to find as many signatories as possible, but no logo/organization name will appear. The idea is to demonstrate a civil society movement!
Considering your commitment to the subject, I thought you might want to sign this letter which you will find attached (beware, under embargo until May 6). If this is the case, you have some indications below on how to support it.
If you need more information, do not hesitate to contact Marine Braud (mbr...@wwf.fr) who coordinates the Call.
Yours sincerely and thanks for your support and engagement
