April 2nd-3rd VUC Celebration

This is a one-time invitation to our celebration. I'm sending it to the list and 33 others of you who have been contributors, guests and contacts. Please consider helping publicize this event which not only celebrates starting our 9th year of Friday gatherings but also "Internet for Good". I will be talking about two of my favorite Internet endeavors, Kiva.org microlending and Operation Smile. You are welcome to promote your favorite charities, too, or talk about what you're doing.

You can drop in anytime, even for a moment. A quick check -in would be appreciated. We'll work out all the logistics over the next few days, but basically there will be a Hangout on Air where you can come and go as you wish or invite appropriate friends and colleagues to join the visible panel. The usual local rate dial-ins will be available for phone-ins as well as the SIP URI 200...@conf.zipdx.com. 

Live video will be on YouTube at a location to be posted on http://vuc.me and social media channels next week. I will probably play some guitar and some of my music for better or worse. But enough about us. 

Please consider a quick hello on the day, live as there are few interactive 24-hour Internet events and this is a particularly great community.

thanks for the invite! I'll do my best to attend. 

I've not been listening to the VUC as much over the last 4 years as I would have liked to. Life intervened and became, as the Chinese might say, Interesting!

I've always really enjoyed your show and the community you've created. Well done and thanks.
