We are actively recruiting Ruby on Rails developers for a 6 to 12 month assignment in Kansas City.  Our client needs:
 
  • Developers who can demonstrate professional experience using Rails framework
  • familiar with MVC frameworks and RESTful design patterns
  • Solid understanding of HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery and AJAX
  • Strength in Rails fundamentals (routing, active record, modules, bundles
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or 3 yrs web development experience
Bonus skills would include:
 
  • experience with unit testing frameworks like RSpec and Cucumber
  • experience with Linux server setup, configuration and maintenance
  • knowledge of common security best practices and exploits
  • proficient with Ruby, Capistrano, Git, Linux, Ajax, Cloud services, RESTful APIs, async processing/message queues, Nginz, Apache, Phusion Passengers, SQL, postgresql, MySQL, SQLite, db optimization
