UNI Mini-Sumo Annual Ship-In contest

The Annual Mini-Sumo Ship-In contest is coming up at UNI next
month. It will be held April 29th. I'm planning on driving up to
Cedar Falls from Texas to emcee the event. Would love if you
could come up that morning and watch the competition. All the
better if you bring and enter a Mini-Sumo.
This year we have 8 students in the general-ed level Studies in
Robotics course, 6 students in the advanced Digital Electronics
and Robotics class. These guys are experimenting with improved
motors, trying to give the competition some real heat. Plus we
usually get some Ship-In entries from here or there around the
country, and sometimes from outside the country.
If you can't make it, then you can watch live on webcast, or see
it later in archived video, but this is kind of a big thing for
robotics and bringing attention to Iowa, so please participate
