A school in our service area is interested in school-based mentoring
in which a volunteer would have up to 3 children (ages 11-13) at a
school site for academic support in particular. In any of the
programs you provide, do you have a program which has more than one
child per volunteer at school site and as many as 3? If so, would you
contact me or send an email how that works; such as, does the
volunteer do a group time only or are they meeting individually with
the child and how much time/days per week is the expectation. Also is
time spent in activities in addition to academic support? Any
information will be helpful – I’m meeting with a principal at 1
today. I’m also interested in knowing how successful it is when a
volunteer meets with more than one child at a time. Our school-
mentoring up to this time has been 1 x 1. Thank you.
