Hey Everyone,
We recently received a question from one of our mentoring programs having trouble getting their teen mentors to meet the 4 hour per month mentoring requirement especially toward to the end of the year as students seem to get continually busier. Can anyone provide some helpful suggestions for tackling this issue?

I have raised 5 teens of my own and I think that the 4 hour requirement might be met in a different way. Like meeting once a month during those times and having a recap party or something. Just as our own children grow up and take on more responsibilities of their own, we need to find a way to “Let go”. Not to say we can’t still love them and be involved but the whole idea is to help them be prepared to take on their adult life. They are not the same as little folks who need us much more.
Just my thoughts!
Thanks ……….Jan
