Lift + Akka

Are you bad-asses at T8 using Akka inside a Lift app? If so, any
gotchas/best practices you could pass on? We've been using Lift
actors a bit, but I'd like to start moving to Akka as our need for
actors increases.

Heheh... (not sure I qualify as a badass).  We are not quite yet(I'm finishing the Queue infrastructure in akka that the Lift side will produce on), but we will be very shortly.  We will definitely keep you posted on what we learn.

Which versions of Lift & Akka are you using?

I'm using Akka 1.0-M1(will upgrade to 1.0-RC1 prob over the weekend, there is a LOT of nice stuff in 1.0*)...  All the akka upgrades have been pretty painless, with the only exception being 8* to 9* (the move to ActorRef).  I believe we're using 2.2RC1 on the Lift side.

OK great - I was planning on Akka 1.0-RC1. Do you know of any
incompatibilities/problems with Akka 1.0 RC-1 and Lift 2.1? Just
haven't had time to upgrade to Lift 2.2 yet...

It's actually more compatible as 2.2 gets to scala 2.8.1
