Just read this article and from my personal experience and perspective (so far), its hits the nail on the square on head.

Just curious if you've done Cake in Lift? Or if you're doing DI in
general in Lift?

Great lunchtime read, thanks Ben! The world needs more real code
examples of the Cake pattern.

We are not using Cake pattern. I don't understand it well enough. :)
We use Lift's DI functionality to inject instances of two traits
related to our image recognition engine, but that's all.
Perhaps "Cake pattern vs Lift DI" would make a good talk for the Scala
meetup on Tues? ;)
