Good morning Steve & Robert,

I'm still unraveling a bit from returning from overseas but wanted to touch bases about the ride Saturday. Have either of you checked out the gravel section on Hazelwood? It's a road i never ride, so have no sense of the quality of the surface.

Both Scott and I recently rode that Hazelwood section. Scott reported on 10/6: "I rode it today and it was all pretty smooth". I also felt that it was pretty light, compacted gravel as opposed to some gravel routes that have deep, chunky gravel. My setup was 700x25 Gatorskin tyres and I felt pretty comfortable on it. Anything less than that on tyre size might be more iffy. Conditions also appear to be dry and I don't expect to have to deal with a mushy, slippery unpaved  section. Hope to see you at the start.
