Iowa Stubborn 200k

Iowa Randos,

Well I finally found the time to work more on the Iowa City rooted Iowa Stubborn 200k. I rode the entire route and took notes on fixes to turns/cues. Spent a good chunk of the day today making route repairs.This is my first official RUSA route from scratch. We will see what the RUSA reviewers say. Thanks to Terry for the northern section rework. There is still a bit of light gravel (2 km) down on Hazelwood Ave but felt pretty manageable. The route is at 128 mi so i am trying to avoid making it any much longer. The ride itself seemed really pleasant connecting many trail sections together making the ride safe and enjoyable. I will probably schedule another full pre-ride of the route and will post the day for that if any volunteers want to join me on that.

I plan to put together some Iowa Randos flyers/posters and also set out some route arrows for the official run of our brevets. I will have to submit the 2025 Iowa Randonneurs schedule in a couple of weeks.
