All,
Things have been a bit quiet on the Iowa Rando front since our last 2024 planned brevets. I am trying to find time from a busy schedule to plan out some new routes.
I have sketched out a new 200k concept, the "Iowa Stubborn 200k" (named for the Music man https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7lFbUVS9WM) that would originate in the Iowa City pedestrian mall area (the Graduate hotel), cycle up to Cedar Rapids via solon, lisbon, mount vernon and back thru ely, north liberty and coralville, looping down into Hills before returning to Iowa city. This would take advantage of some of our excellent local trails.

I'd also like to set this up as a permanent as well for those of us who live in this area. I want to create new 300/400/600k routes in the area as well. Any volunteers to help are welcome. I plan to scout this proposed ride and if it looks good will see if i can book it into our RUSA schedule yet for this year.
