Lord, Grant rest to the Soul of you servant, George, with the saints, in a place where there is no pain, no sighing, no sorrow, but only Everlasting Life. Amen.

“The issue for the Church today is not nuclear war, but the total and unequivocal rejection in theory and in practice of all war and all mass slaughter. There is nothing in the life or teaching of Jesus that would suggest that while it is illegitimate to incinerate people by nuclear warhead it is legitimate to incinerate people by napalm or flamethrower. Condemning nuclear wars exclusively, a Christian can thereby give implied moral approval to other forms of mass slaughter. What level of slaughter is acceptable?”
