Something awful happened at the DMCW two nights ago ... Little baby Amy, Nichole and Alexander's 9 mo. old daughter passed away. She died in her sleep. The family is devastated as is our community.
We are having an overnight vigil as is customary in their culture .
The Vigil will take place at Manning House
1317 - 8th St starting at 7 p.m. Friday Oct 18 until 7am Saturday morning.
All are welcome to join us in a prayerful vigil. Please bring candles to light and any snacks or beverages you would like to share. No Alcohol please.

The family wishes to return home to Honduras asap. If you wish to donate to their Get Home Safe fund just write your checks out to the DMCW with a note Amy Fund.
Below are the words Baby Amy's parents, of Nicole and Alexander.
Today I embrace you in my deep dreams and I thank you for the time together with us with everything you taught us and everything we lost. Because we understood that there is no time or space and your innocence came to make us exist again you left us your angel wings and taught us to fly towards you.
How big and so small you were at the same time you will always be in our minds and hearts. Our greatest comfort is knowing that someday we will be with you again, princess of our soul. We will always miss you and remember you as the most beautiful rose in our garden and as the most beautiful jewel in heaven. You will live in our hearts and we will carry you deep inside, my princess Amy. Even though I can no longer carry you in my arms, you will be in my heart. Although your wings are ready to fly, our hearts were never ready to see you go. Rest in the arms of God my sweet princess Amy Alexandra, and live in our souls eternally. We will always love you my beautiful baby. Dad, mom and your sister and brothers will never forget you. You will always be with us. We love you forever and ever.

Hace dos noches sucedió algo terrible en el DMCW... La pequeña Amy, la hija de 9 meses de Nicolle y Alexander, falleció. Murió mientras dormía. La familia está devastada, al igual que nuestra comunidad.
Como es costumbre en su cultura, realizaremos una vigilia nocturna.
La vigilia se llevará a cabo en Manning House 1317 - 8th St a partir de las 7 p. m. del viernes 18 de octubre hasta las 7 a. m. del sábado por la mañana.
Todos son bienvenidos a unirse a nosotros en una vigilia de oración. Traigan velas para encenderlas y cualquier comida o bebida que desean compartir. No se permite alcohol. Gracias.

Hoy te abrazo en mis suenos profundos y te agradezco el tiempo junto a nosotros con todo lo que nos ensenastes y todo lo que asi perdimos. Porque entendimos que no hay tiempo ni espacio y tu inocencia vino hacernos volver a existir nos dejastes tus alas de angel y nos ensenastes a volar hacia ti. Que grande y tan pequena fuiste a la vez siempre estaras en nuestras mentes y corazones nuestro mayor consuelo es saber que algun dia volveremos a estar contigo princesa de nuestra alma. Siempre te extraneremos y recordaremos como la rosa mas hermosa del nuestro jardin y como la joya mas hermosa de cielo viviras en nuestros corazones y te llevaremos muy dentro del mi princesa Amy aunque no pueda cargarte en mis brazos pero estaras en mi corazon aunque tus alas estan lista para volar pero nuestros corazones nunca estuviero listos para verti partir. Descansa el los brazos de Dios mi dulce princesa Amy Alexandra, y vive en nuestras almas eternamente. Siempre te amaremos mi hermosa bebe. Papa, mama y tus hermanos nunca te olvidaremos. Siempre estaras con nosotros. Te amamos por siempre y para siempre.
