What: 5th Annual remembrance of US Atomic bombing of Japan @ IA Air Guard Drone Command Center entrance.
When: Friday Aug 6th & Monday Aug 9th - 8 hr vigils starting @ 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: 3100 McKinley Ave, Des Moines, IA

Let us agree historically and biblically speaking, all empires live on lies. The 1st casualty of all wars is the Truth. And victory in war is "the" prerequisite for being an Empire. Lastly, all Empires fall.
This year marks the 76th Anniversary of the US Atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki Japan. The lie behind these war crimes is they won the war and saved US & Japanese lives. We baby boomers did not make up this lie but we lived it and created the post WWII US Empire based on this lie.
Seventy six years later and we are now seeing in multiple ways the consequence of living off this 76 yr old lie. We live in a pro Rich, pro War and pro US Empire nation hell bent on destroying the life forces on the planet on all levels! And the State is losing its grip because it can no longer "shield us from the political, economic and/or military consequences of" our post WWII A-bombing lie.
In Iowa we have embraced Global Corporate Industrial Agriculture, doing our part in the peace economy to destroy the planet and enslave us to its mass produced food. And in the business of War making, Des Moines Iowa is a real time player with a daily license to kill given the IA Air National Guard Drone Command Center.
On any given day, at any given time, someone at this Command Center is hunting down our so-called enemies anywhere on the planet, killing them from the sky! This is the same license to kill we gave ourselves in the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki Japan. The same reasoning too, “to save lives and keep the peace”.
We invite any and all to come join us at any time during our two day 8 hour vigil at the main gate of the IA Air National Guard's Drone Command Center, 3100 McKinley Ave, Des Moines, IA. Come help us bear witness to the lies of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the war crimes taking place today at our local drone command center.
