Good morning, Iowa OER friends and partners!
I'm
hosting an online, open workshop in two weeks on OER basics, and you are welcome to join us! I'll only be covering the basics, but I know that sometimes
campus stakeholders have an easier time digesting this type of information when
it comes from an external source, so if you know any faculty, staff, or
campus partners who would benefit
from a primer on OER, please feel free to share!
In
this workshop, participants will learn about open educational resources
(OER), free course materials that instructors can adapt to fit their
course's needs. Participants will leave with a greater understanding of
the benefits and challenges of using OER, resources that they can use to
find and evaluate these materials, and methods for integrating
high-quality OER into their courses.
