Good morning Iowa OER friends and peers!

I apologize if you follow any other OER listservs, as you've probably already seen this, but I have a book announcement to share!

I am pleased to announce the publication of a new resource for faculty and staff interested in starting or leading OER efforts at their institutions: The OER Starter Kit for Program Managers!

The OER Starter Kit for Program Managers was created to bring attention to the work involved in building and managing an OER program, from learning about open educational practices and soliciting team members to collecting and reporting data on your program’s outcomes.”

If you’re interested in learning more about this book, you can attend our launch party next week, May 10, from 12-1:00 pm EST (find your time zone using the Time Zone Converter).

At the launch party, the project leads and select case study authors will talk about their contributions to the book, and you can ask questions and engage with us in discussions about program management for OER. We’d love to see you there!

Register to attend the launch event via Zoom.

Review the launch announcement on the Rebus blog for more information about the book. You can also use the discussion boards on the project’s Rebus Community page to share your thoughts, suggest future updates, and ask for support from other program managers in the community.

You can talk about the release on Twitter using the hashtag: #OERStarterKitPM

From the lead authors and editors:

Abbey K. Elder, Apurva Ashok, Jeff Gallant, Marco Seiferle-Valencia, and Stefanie Buck
