New OER! Macroevolution Research

Good morning! I have a new set of OER to share today, funded by the Iowa State University Open Education Mini-Grant Program. 

Dr. Tracy Heath and Josh Justison collaborated on this project to develop materials that describe macroevolutionary research methods, with a specific focus on running R. These tutorials are available in GitHub, and include in-class activities, exercises, and publicly available instructor guides on how to maintain and update the tutorials, if adopted. 

The modules in this set include: 

• Onboarding to R, Rstudio, and the tutorials themselves
• An Introduction to R
• An Introduction to Phylogenetics in R
• Phylogenetic Association of Discrete Characters
• Phylogenetic Regression
• Ancestral State Estimation
• State Dependent Diversification
• Fitting Evolutionary Models
• Multivariate Phylogenetic Comparative Methods

More learning materials for each Module can be found in the Practicals folder in Github.
