Good afternoon, OER friends!
I
am sharing out a couple of webinars coming up in mid-October: one
beginner introduction to OER for instructors and one for
librarians--non-librarian support staff are welcome to attend the
latter, of course!
If
you are interested in either of these events, please register to
attend, or invite a friend who is curious about Open Ed! We've got
plenty of room in both webinars:
Free Textbooks and More! A Guide to OER for Instructors
October 15, 1:00-2:00pm CT
In
this hands-on workshop, instructors will get an introduction to open
educational resources (OER), free instructional materials that you can
adapt to fit your course’s needs. In addition to learning OER basics,
participants will receive tips on how to find, evaluate, and integrate
OER into a course.
OER 101 for Librarians
October 17, 12:00-1:00pm CT
In
this webinar, we will provide an entry-level overview of open
education, focusing on key concepts that are relevant for support staff:
what OER are, how to find them, and how to support educators as they
explore applications for open education in their teaching.
All the best,
