Iowa OER is now accepting nominations for a new awards opportunity!

These awards provide recognition to instructors across the state who have carried out innovative and impactful work through the use of OER. 6 award categories are available to acknowledge different types of work, from adopting existing materials to creating supplementary materials or teaching with open pedagogy.

Recipients of the Iowa Open Education Awards will receive $1,000–$2,000 and be featured on the Iowa Open Education Action Team’s website alongside a short description of their impactful work with OER.

Nominations close June 1, 2025.

All instructors (K12, higher ed, contract, tenured, and everything in between) are eligible for an award.

Please share this opportunity with your peers and colleagues. You may nominate an instructor on their behalf or instructors may self-nominate, if they prefer.
