Iowa OER
We are excited to share a new event series that we are starting up next week, OER Office Hours, monthly meetings hosted on Zoom by the Iowa OER team. Feel free to share this call with any local community members who may be interested in attending.
For those who don't know, OER stands for Open Educational Resources, which are teaching/learning materials that are free to access and customizable for different needs.
Why attend? Connect with others interested in OER, share advice, or ask questions of Iowa's OER leaders. Drop in to ask your question(s) or stay for the full hour–it’s up to you!
Who should attend? OER/textbook affordability coordinators; college instructors who use or wish to use affordable course materials; librarians supporting student access to materials; K-12 teachers who teach college-level/concurrent enrollment courses; instructional designers; and others interested in learning more!
When: Held regularly on the third Wednesday and Friday of each month (though some dates may change to account for holidays or availability).
