Good afternoon, all!
I am running a workshop online next Wednesday, April 10 from 2:00–3:30pm CST.
If you or any faculty at
your institution are interested in getting an introduction to open
pedagogy, from the theoretical to the practical, please RSVP to attend!
Workshop details:
Supporting Student-Centered Learning through Open Pedagogy
In
this workshop, participants will be introduced to the concept of open
pedagogy, a teaching practice focused on student-centered and
project-based learning which aims to foster a learning environment that
supports students' creativity and expression through the co-creation of
content. Participants will leave this workshop with successful models
for scaffolding student engagement and implementing open pedagogy
assignments in the classroom, along with additional resources to learn
more.
This
webinar will have a few hands-on elements as you work through
reflection questions together with the other attendees and discuss
practical applications of open pedagogy in courses. At the end, I'll be
sharing a worksheet for further exploration and recommended readings for
a deeper dive into OEP.
Sincerely,
