Hi there,

Hi there is it possible to use multiple scanners?
At the moment i've got just one scanner. But before buy extra scanners i would like to know if i can use them at the same time within one iotope computer.
thank you!

Yes, it supports different multiple readers on one computer. But for now it doesn't make use of the unique ID of the "Touchatag" readers, so you can not yet assign a different purpose  for each scanner (Yet!). Each reader will do exactly the same.

Thank you for your replay.
does it mean thatevery reader has the same action?
And for example one computer with  multiple scanners each scanner do a part of the job? Overlapping in actions?

Sorry for the late reply: Each scanner has it's own thread, so it will work but you can't assign different actions to each scanner (yet): example, put tag on scanner 1, open browser, put it on scanner 2, turn on light...

I guess its possible if you make keyboard functions linked to a tag.
then you can use an action to the keydown with Autohotkey.
so then if you have multiple scanners you can use all your keydown actions and assign them to your scanners. So scanner 1 gets keyboeard keys a,b,c,d, and scanner 2 e,f,g,h
And use Autohotkey to assign actions to the letters.

Hi,

You know, the Touchatag readers have an ACOS6 SAM card in them with a unique ID. I'll make sure that the next release 0.3 for IOTOPE:node will include support for reading the ID. With that ID you can then assign different tasks for each reader.
