IMPORTANT: LPIC ALUMNI ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE NOVELL CLA CERTIFICATION

LPI is pleased to announce that holders of LPIC certifications are now
eligible to apply for and receive the Novell Certified Linux Administrator
(CLA) certification at no additional cost or exams.

This initiative is the result of a new partnership agreement between
Novell and LPI.  Under this program those Linux professionals who have
earned their LPIC-1 status will also have satisfied the requirements for
the Novell Certified Linux Administrator (CLA) certification.  To further
support this initiative Novell Training Services has formally agreed
to include the required LPIC-1 learning objectives in its CLA course
training material.

To apply for your Novell CLA, go to:

   http://practicum.novell.com/LPI2CLAForm.php

and fill out the required fields. You will need to provide your LPI ID,
verification code, name and contact information (NAME, MAILING ADDRESS,
PHONE NUMBER, and EMAIL).  All LPI alumni are able to validate their
LPIC status at:

   https://cs.lpi.org/caf/Xamman/certification

by providing their LPI ID and verification code.

For further information on this program please contact your local
affiliate at:

    or see:

We have this tongue-in-cheek distro-dissing game going on between me
and my best friend (he's SuSE and I'm Ubuntu). Looks like he's got
some ammo for this round...
*runs off to OpenSuSE site to start downloading*

The LPI servers are very busy now.  I can not get to the verification code.  Is there any other way to get the verification code?

My LPI no. is in my card but not my verification code.  The verification code is in our LPI account at the LPI website.

The LPI portal is now working.

Hello Guys,

Looks like we're getting 2 certification in 1 :)

I registered already. Does this include an ID card and paper certificate?

quoted from Novell's email: In order to do our part to protect the environment, Novell is "going green" and discontinuing the mailing of hard copy certificates. I encourage you to print out your attached PDF certificate and display it proudly.

Looks like Novell won't send us a paper-based certificate.

Yup, just received my "eCertificate." To protect the environment they won't be printing and mailing a hard copy but instructs us to print them instead. They saved on paper by letting us print them. Hahaha......

I just noticed Novell's tagline now. "Making IT Work As One." Compared
with Oracle's "Software. Hardware. Complete." and... what else is
there that's like this?
