dima...@haven.ios.com is the first person I have seen speaking
for anything behind the front that is IDT/IOS.
I am curious because I know that commentary can be so raw and
mean, but I have seen such frustration on various newsgroups
about IDT/IOS that I have been writing them off for the past
2-4 months.
If you have something to say, good or bad, please send me the
e-mail! Thank You!

hmmm.......does anyone notice the attitude in that last sentence....
let me say for the SECOND TIME that I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST SOMEONE
EARNING A FEW EXTRA DOLLARS!!!!!
You seem to be missing the point.
The biggest problem I have is that IDT(or some staff members at least)
seem to have attempted to 'stuff' the list. You appear to be admitting
that.

Maybe so....but IDT might get a few more customers?
(and dumb ones at that.......If I were looking at the comments, not
knowing what I know, I wouldnt have been fooled for a second.)

I dont think its such a good idea to say who it is in public, but I
would be happy to tell you or anyone else from IDT (prefferably
someone high up the ladder) who it was, and copies of correspondence
to and from him.

I was apparently not the only one to complain to the...@colossus.net.
Read this (off a page at TheList) :
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Why the Comments Are Gone
We have temporarily removed all comments about providers
from the list, due to an
overwhelming request to do so. It seems a few providers used
those comment fields as a way
to abuse their competitors and thus make the whole rating
system completely moot. As a
result, because we can't vouch for the integrity of the
comments made, we have decided to
take them out while we are working on a better way to serve
the user community.
In the meantime, a good place for ranting, raving, and
requesting feedback about
service providers is the Usenet group alt.internet.services.
If you have suggestions, send them to us so we can
consider them during our
renovations. A new, improved version of The List should be
in a few weeks.

I am afraid I must dissagree. I respect your eagerness to promote and
defend IDT, but "Two wrongs don't make a right..."..
Besides, even if IDT(or whoever stared this) 'got away with it', IDT
would have been the ONLY ISP on the list with a rating anything close
to 10 and with as many comments as Pipeline USA.

I dont know, IDT is excellent, as I have said before, and could
deserve a 10 if NEWS is improved.
hopefully, the funds they recieve from the IPO will be well used and
IDT can continue to grow and improve.
note to rich: if you would like the info I have on the "poor idiot",
feel free to let me know. As I have said, I prefer to be contacted by
somone 'high up', but if you can do something constructive with it the
info is yours.
