I'll explain why the number are not posted on the web. The number you have are
part of IDT's
Nationwide Newark. Basically you can dial any one of these numbers with the same
settings,
DNS & Username and password and you'll have no trouble.

IDT also has Areas that were our network does not reach, so we out source dialup
PPP connections
only. All other services such as news, mail, shells, are handled by us. In areas
that we out source PPP Dialups
only specific users can dial into these locations.

When you sign up with IDT an information packet is sent out with all phone numbers
that you are able
to dial.

If you require a list a phone numbers specific to you . Please e-mail
sup...@idt.net or contact customer service
and request a list a phone number available to you.

Yeaah right!!! Now what about the guy that travels a lot and wants to
pick up his EMail, etc on his/her notebook from a different place
every day. Does he have to make a long distance call to get in or does
he have to make a long distance call to Customer Support to get a
local access number?

Come on, give us a break, why don't you just put the access numbers
up on the web page, what's the big deal with that??

Or how about those of us who signed up several years ago and the phone numbers in our packets
are obsolete?!? IDT *used* to have the list of phone numbers on their web page, why not anymore.

IDT appears to sent out its list of dial-up numbers on request, if you
go to the IRC support group.

When I was planning an extended trip, I was advised by tech support
that IDT maintains relationships with other ISP's for the purpose of
giving dial-up access if comeone is an IDT customer and is out of the
normal IDT service area. However, they will only set up this dial up
capability if you will be in the new provider's service area for at
least a month -- so if you are out of the general NYC or CA area
(other than me, in Minneapolis, where there is a good working dial-up
number), you are out of luck.

I got the best deal. I live in an area where IDT does not have a POP. So
they signed me up with PsiNet. (If PsiNet would just finish their 56K
upgrade).

The DNS IP addresses are those of PsiNet, but I use the IDT mail and news
server.

I have gathered the IDT numbers for the places I travel to the most, and all
of the PsiNet numbers are on their web site.

Then you just configure different dial-up connections, and I am ready to go
just about anywhere.
