If I use an LT Winmodem(56k) to connect to IDT, it will connect at
50,000 bps everytime, but when I use the 3 Com U.S.Robotics(56k) in the
new computer to connect to IDT, I get connection speeds anywhere from
26,400 to 45,333 bps.
Is the U S Robotics modem more sensitive to line noise, and are there
any "extra settings" I can add to modem properties to get a more
consistent faster connection speed? I currently use S32=34
At the present time I have to dial in ten or more times to get a
reasonably fast connection speed(40 to 44,000bps)
