Dear Colleagues,
We are excited to announce the upcoming NGMSE 2024 workshop, "Next-Generation Multimedia Services at the Edge: Leveraging 5G and Beyond", co-located with IEEE ISCC 2024.
As we stand at the cusp of a new era in telecommunications, the NGMSE 2024 workshop seeks to harness this momentum, focusing on the 5G and next generation networks where the confluence of speed, bandwidth, and low latency can revolutionize multimedia processing and delivery.

The workshop will cover a broad spectrum of topics, including but not limited to:
• Edge network design and optimization for multimedia applications
• Integration of edge computing with 5G&Beyond for enhanced services
• Resource management and allocation for multimedia applications
• Evaluations of Quality-of-Service (QoS) and Quality-of-Experience (QoE)
• Security, privacy, and energy efficiency in multimedia delivery
• Groundbreaking multimedia solutions for the Metaverse

We are happy to announce that Prof. Luca Turchet, an expert in the Internet of Musical Things (IoMusT), will be joining us as the keynote speaker. He will share his insights on the latest developments in this field.
In addition, we are thrilled to feature two special invited talks by multimedia for VR expert Dr. Sara Baldoni and next-generation networks expert Dr. José Santos.

NGMSE 2024 will feature two dedicated technical sessions: "Multimedia Services and Protocols" and "Edge and Enabling Technologies", designed to delve into both the theoretical and practical aspects of our theme.
