Dear Colleagues,
I am writing to extend a warm invitation to you to contribute with a paper to the special issue "
Computational Methodologies Supporting the Preservation, Access and Re-use of Sound and Musical Cultural Heritage". This special issue of the journal
Heritage aims to delineate the state of the art of new technologies applied to sound and music in the context of the intangible cultural heritage. We are looking for original and high-quality research articles, reviews, and case studies that address various aspects of this field. For details, you can check:

Research areas may include (but are not limited to) one or more of the following:
- Artificial Intelligence for preserving, accessing, and re-using Sound and Musical Cultural Heritage (Music and Speech);
- Computational Musicology;
- Human–Computer Interaction for accessing and valorising Sound and Musical Cultural Heritage;
- Internet of Musical Things and Web Technologies for Sound and Musical Cultural Heritage;
- Music Information Retrieval;
- Preservation of Analog Recordings and Musical Instruments;
- New technology for enhancing the sustainability of Sound and Musical Cultural Heritage;
- Virtual, augmented, or mixed reality and Sound and Musical Cultural.
Heritage is a peer-reviewed open-access journal publishing high-quality articles on cultural and natural heritage science. You can find the homepage here:

indexed in both ESCI and Scopus. In 2022, Heritage received its first CiteScore, ranking it
Q1 in the Archeology category, and
Q1 in the Conservation category. In 2023 Heritage received its first Impact Factor of 1.7.
