We have an immediate opening for Senior Software Engineer C++ Unix

 

Rate  : $44 per hour

Start  : Immediate

Location  : Plano, Tx

Duration   : 18 months

 

Position; Senior Software Engineer (C++/UNIX)

 

Summary

Strong programming and problem solving skills. Resume should reflect recent experience in C++, Object Oriented Analysis and Design, and development experience in real time, embedded, multithreaded applications with Unix OS.  Exposure to 3G/4G networks and knowledge of fixed/mobile network protocols are considered a plus. 

 

Duties and responsibilities

• Develop leading edge real-time monitoring applications for telecommunications and data network
• Under the guidance of the Architect, provide design, recommend solutions and alternatives for a complex problem
• Produce reliable Level of Effort estimates for smaller tasks.
• Implement chosen solution in Agile Development environment.
• Produce necessary documentation to reflect changes.

Required skills

• 7+ years of Software Development experience in C++ for UNIX.
• 5+ years of Telecom experience  with 2G/3G/4G mobile networks.
•  Strong problem solving skills
• Good understanding of OOAD and exposure to design tools and design patterns.
• Experience in scripting (Python, Perl, shell).
• Experience of working in Agile Development environment.
• Fluency with version control tools (CVS, Subversion).

Other qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science.
