FYI.  I will be attending this meeting in La Jolla in Dec so I'll try to put together a presentation with a little more detail.  This (www.odip.org) is an opportunity to get more people involved in SOS and to widen our community of users/developers/testers etc.  Let me know if you have questions or things you want me to make certain to include in my presentation.

In particular IMOS is probably going to be using 52North and I've been suggesting to Roger Proctor, head of the IMOS EMarine Infrastructure, that he start with our fork of 52North, or at the very least we find a way to contribute to the same code base rather than having too many branches.  Simon Jirka from 52North is working closely with IMOS.

I'm not on the agenda to actually give a presentation but I want to have something handy to point to in side conversations etc.  This meeting will be workshop style not just a bunch of powerpoints.

There has been some email exchanges following my request for participation in ODIP-3 SOS so I have pulled them together in to the attached discussion document (with 2 related documents), which I hope generate enough further discussion to create the implementation plan.

The 2nd ODIP workshop is only 4 weeks away (as Helen reminds us) so I would appreciate some feedback in the next 2 weeks, to give me time to prepare the necessary plan for the workshop.
