This is the main announcement to the ERDDAP™ Announcements Mailing List. NOAA ERD has been using the new version for about two weeks without any problems. I'm now recommending that all ERDDAP™ administrators switch to the new version.

Possible action required - ERDDAP™ 2.29.0+ requires JDK version 25. JDK 25 includes performance improvements that our testing shows to be significant improvements for ERDDAP™. If you are upgrading from a version before 2.29.0, please plan to also upgrade to JDK version 25.

Improvements and Changes
      * Fix [EDDTableFromMultidimNcFiles quarantines healthy source files](https://github.com/ERDDAP/erddap/issues/556). Bad (or misbehaving) queries should no longer cause good files to be quarantined.

      * New ncoJson as info output format available as a file called ncoJsonHeader and at both /erddap/info/datasetId.ncoJson and /erddap/info/datasetId/index.ncoJson.

      * Additional metadata properties for ISO19139_2007 and ISO19115_3_2016 output: classification, topic_category, and maintenance_frequency

      * New JSON webservice for variable attribute suggestions: /erddap/suggestVariableAttributes

      * Improved querying of sql backed datasets so a request that does not contain any db columns will now succeed.
      * Improved link detection and auto linkng for links in info text.
      * Improved support for complex path regex including multiple folder levels and multiple wildcards.

This version includes important optimizations, improvements, and changes, including security-related changes (updated libraries), so I strongly encourage you to upgrade. See the instructions at
