IOOS DMAC community,

Please see the National Weather Service Service Change Notice detailing some changes to the NOS operational ocean models.  One of the changes is to the file naming conventions for the ocean model output and that has resulted in some harvesting workflows to be disrupted.  Your systems may also be affected.

I'll also forward a recent update to the NWS RTOFS Ocean Model.  I haven't looked at the exact nature of the changes but it's possible that there will be an impact to your systems.

Most of you receive these notices but they're easily buried in the noise.  If you are not subscribed to the NWS Service Change Notice list, instructions are included below.

Best,
Derrick

Hi all,

Below is the NWS Service Change Notice (SCN) announcing the upcoming planned implementation of the latest version of the NOS Coastal Ocean Modeling Framework (COMF) which includes the new Salish Sea and Columbia River OFS and retires the legacy Columbia River OFS.

Please share as needed with your stakeholders.

Thanks,
