Hello IOOS Community,

ESIP's Marine Data Cluster is looking for ideas from the community to help us guide future activities for the cluster. Please feel free to send your ideas in via the community interest poll, so we can gauge where the communities interests are and how we can support those conversations.

Initial topics include:
  • Data resiliency
  • Ocean carbon data, mCDR vocabulary, and metadata standardization
  • Marine data vocabulary guidance
  • eDNA data management
  • Other suggestions

We will be meeting this Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 2pm ET. Registration is here.

Hope to see you there.

Thanks!

Matt (Co-Chair ESIP Marine Data Cluster)

Hello all,

Apologies, there was a typo in the last message: the meeting will be on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at the usual time (the subject line is correct).

Please consider filling out the interest poll, including which day and time works for you! community interest poll

MDC Meeting Connection Information:

Marine Data- Monthly Telecon Thursday@, September 25, 2025, 2-3 pm EST

Hello everyone,

We will be moving this month’s Marine Data Cluster call to Thursday, September 28, 2025, at the usual time: 11 am PT / 2 pm ET.

To help guide our discussions, please fill out this very short, 5-question community interest poll.

It asks about:

  • Which topics are you most interested in:
    • Data resiliency
    • Ocean carbon data, mCDR vocabulary, and metadata standardization
    • Marine data vocabulary guidance
    • eDNA data management
    • Other suggestions

  • Preferences for the monthly call schedule and time

  • Any additional feedback you’d like to share

We’d appreciate your input, even if you won’t be able to join the call. All responses will be collected and discussed during the September 25 telecon.

Thanks,
Marine Data Cluster
