Greetings DMAC Community,

For January's DMAC Tech Webinar - next week on the 28th! - we're pleased to host NCEI to present on Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) for data:

Given the range of IOOS data collections (Regional Association station data, RA collections, IOOS DACs, etc.), NCEI would like this to be a discussion of what the community needs are and what requirements you might have for issuing DOIs for archived data. NCEI will present options for DOI minting for IOOS data and examples of data citations, and will address how DOIs minted by other organizations can be referenced. A discussion is imperative to understand the full needs of the IOOS Regional Association and IOOS DAC communities. Please come with questions to facilitate a discussion.
